We go from Fort Worth to Marble Falls through the picturesque Highway 281, where we stop at antique stores and enjoy the beauty of the Hill Country. You’re in for a treat if you enjoy sweets, gourmet dining, art galleries, antiques, and antiques. From one end to the other, the distance is short. Additionally, you can order “a glass to go” from Fiesta Winery in Old Oak Square, which is located beneath the oak tree, and continue strolling down Main Street if wine is on your mind. The scenery gets better as you travel further down RM-1431. So we travelled up and down, and every time I was amazed by the scenery and the serpentine twists. Even though I didn’t plan to, I occasionally find myself exceeding the speed limit while driving downhill. It was enjoyable!

6. Trails For Hiking And Biking

On a hiking trail, there is no better way to discover the outdoors. You should set aside some time to explore Marble Falls on foot… or pedal, whether you walk or bike there. The 1.3-mile Backbone Creek Hike and Bike Trail offer beautiful scenery and an opportunity to encounter wildlife. Between the two parks in Marble Falls, it is situated. Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge, which is east of RM-1431, is another location for hiking. You can hike on a variety of trails there and maybe even see a few golden-cheeked warblers.

You’ll be fine as long as you keep your head down and finish your swing. Make sure to visit the visitor centre in Marble Falls, located at 100 Avenue G, and ask the charming, friendly lady all about the golf courses there.

9. Longhorn Caverns State Park

Longhorn Caverns State Park is a distinctive location brimming with natural beauty and is situated about 15 miles from Marble Falls on Park Road 4 in Burnet. One of Texas’ longest-lasting caverns is located in this park, which is particularly well-liked by residents. The undeveloped cave, which is 68 degrees year-round, offers two different sorts of cave trips. Even though there are steep stairs to descend into the cave and climb back up, everyone may enjoy the cavern walking tour. Just make sure to wear supportive footwear.

You’ll be happy you included this activity on your list of things to do while in Marble Falls once you’ve been inside, in my opinion. I will say, however, that there is a section of the cave where visitors must perform the duck walk (the tour guide named it that). It’s where you’ll be going for at least 66 yards with your head and back drooping, but don’t worry, it’s only one-way! Oh, and you’re in for a surprise if you like bats. On our tour, we noticed at least eight to ten bats, but they were all asleep. We have taken several cave tours in Texas, but this one is by far the finest.

The adventure tour is the other tour. The Wild Cave Tour wasn’t coined for nothing! The same cave is explored in a three-hour guided trip, however, there are confined spaces and other challenging locations. Participants must be in decent physical shape for this tour due to its physical demands. That left me out, though!
